Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Stakett’s modular casework and surface installation services.

Do you only install OFS products?

No. While Stakett is certified by OFS to install their Mile Marker modular casework, we also install other modular casework systems, custom millwork, and commercial-grade cabinetry. We work with a variety of manufacturers and general contractors across healthcare, workplace, and institutional projects.

What does it mean to be OFS Mile Marker Certified?

Being OFS Mile Marker Certified means our team has received formal training in the installation of OFS’s modular casework product line, including panel handling, hardware configuration, ADA compliance, and field modifications. This ensures fast, accurate installs that meet OFS quality standards.

Do you install countertops and surfaces?

Yes. We install solid surface, laminate, stone, and compact surfaces. We also perform cutouts for sinks, outlets, and equipment, but we do not connect plumbing or electrical fixtures that requires a licensed subcontractor.

Do you do field modifications?

Yes. We can make minor on-site adjustments to modular casework and surfaces to ensure proper fit and finish. This includes trimming panels, filler pieces, or cutting backer boards. Major modifications or fabrication changes are billed separately.

Do you provide installation for medical casework in hospitals and clinics?

Absolutely. We specialize in healthcare casework installation, including modular cabinets, glove storage, sink units, and ADA-compliant stations. Our team has deep experience working in clinical environments, including occupied renovations and clean site protocols.

What regions do you serve?

Stakett is based in South Florida and serves projects throughout the Southeastern United States. We’re also available for national installations for multi-site clients or large project rollouts.

How do I schedule an installation with Stakett?

Email us at sales@stakett.com with your project scope, drawings, and delivery timeline. We’ll review the details, perform a pre-install consultation, and provide an estimate and schedule commitment.

What happens if my jobsite isn't ready?

We confirm site readiness before dispatch. If the space is inaccessible, incomplete, or lacking required conditions, a return visit fee and $750 delay charge may apply. We’ll always work with you to minimize this risk with proactive coordination.

Can you install after hours or weekends?

Yes, we offer after-hours and weekend installation options to accommodate occupied spaces like clinics, hospitals, and office environments. Additional rates may apply based on labor schedules and access requirements.

Do you supply or sell the casework?

No. Stakett is a dedicated installation partner. We do not sell furniture or casework ,we install what your designer, architect, or dealer specifies. For OFS projects, we often coordinate directly with your furniture dealer or rep to ensure product alignment.

Can you install casework in new construction and renovations?

Yes. We install in both new construction and renovation environments. We understand the nuances of occupied renovations, working around clinical operations, infection control protocols, and phased delivery schedules.

Do you perform punchlist walk-throughs and closeout documentation?

Yes. Every install includes a final quality walkthrough, punch list documentation (if needed), and a closeout report upon completion. We pride ourselves on clean, ready-to-use installs.

Do you carry insurance and provide safety documentation?

Yes. We are fully insured and provide COIs (Certificates of Insurance) upon request. All Stakett team members follow strict site safety protocols and can comply with any job-specific onboarding, including hospital credentialing and GC safety orientations.

How much lead time do you need before install?

We recommend at least 2–3 weeks lead time once the site is confirmed and all materials are scheduled for delivery. For large-scale or multi-phase installs, we’ll work with you to build a phased schedule that supports your project timeline.
